Senior Cyber & Tech PI Underwriter

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Cyber & Tech PI Underwriter or Broker to shape the future of our cyber portfolio. You’ll join Zurich’s Global Specialty business as a senior member of the Cyber team, with authority over complex risks and a mandate to drive profitable, sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute the cyber underwriting plan, ensuring strong technical risk selection, pricing discipline and portfolio optimisation.
• Underwrite complex, high‑value Cyber / Tech PI risks in line with appetite, guidelines and pricing frameworks.
• Use data, portfolio insights and market intelligence to inform decisions, identify trends and support product innovation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Collaborate with the Head of Cyber and leadership to shape underwriting strategy across market cycles.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to less‑experienced colleagues.
• Work with claims, actuarial, portfolio management, operations and senior leaders, managing priorities and “managing up”.
• Support continuous improvement through process enhancement, knowledge sharing and new tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cyber and/or Tech PI Underwriter or Broker with a track record of profitable growth and strong market contacts.
• Deep understanding of cyber and tech PI exposures, controls, coverages and emerging trends, combined with solid business and financial acumen.
• Winning trading mindset, ability to take well‑judged underwriting positions, negotiate effectively and drive results across market cycles.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, data‑driven communication, and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
