Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Microsoft Defender) - Hybrid

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Consultant with expertise in Microsoft Defender to join its cybersecurity team, acting as subject matter expert on Defender XDR solutions within the CMS TDR team. The role is hybrid and is based in Malaga.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement Defender XDR.
• Act as subject matter expert for Microsoft Defender for each customer, using the solution's capabilities in day-to-day work.
• Secure overall cloud environments by applying cybersecurity tools and best practices.
• Advise customers on best practices and use cases so they reach their end-state requirements.
• Develop processes for automated security event monitoring and alerting, including event response plans.
• Create and maintain documentation on Defender configuration, policies, procedures and incident response playbooks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech./B.E.) with sound technical skills.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Technical acumen, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and related technologies (Windows Defender, Defender for cloud, Defender for IoT).
• Use case management in Defender XDR and Microsoft Intune AV policy creation and deployment.
• Cloud knowledge of Azure and AWS.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
• Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Certification in Azure (SC-200, SC-100, SC-900, AZ-500); other cloud certifications are a plus.
