Senior Editor – eBioMedicine

About the role

The Lancet’s eBioMedicine journal is seeking an in‑house Senior Editor to lead peer‑review and publication of high‑quality translational research. You will work closely with an international editorial team and the broader research community to shape the journal’s scientific content.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange peer‑review, commission articles and ensure timely publication of rigorous research.
• Stay current with emerging literature and research trends in biomedical science.
• Represent the journal at conferences, academic meetings and site visits to build and maintain global networks.
• Write editorials, commission reviews, commentaries and correspondence to raise the journal’s profile.
• Sub‑edit submissions across all sections to improve clarity and conform to journal style.

Required profile

• Higher degree in a relevant discipline with post‑doctoral research experience or prior editorial experience.
• Strong communication skills with the translational research community.
• Broad knowledge of biological and medical sciences.
• Exceptional command of English and ability to write engaging content.
• Willingness to travel internationally for meetings and conferences.
