Senior Editor – eBioMedicine (Lancet)

About the role

The Lancet’s eBioMedicine journal is seeking an in‑house Senior Editor to lead the peer‑review and publication process for high‑quality translational research. You will work closely with the international editorial team to ensure rigorous standards and timely publication of original research, reviews, and commentaries.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange peer‑review, commission content and manage the editorial workflow to meet publication deadlines.
• Stay current with the latest literature and research developments in biomedical science.
• Engage with conferences, academic meetings and site visits to build and maintain relationships with the global research community.
• Write editorials, commission reviews and commentaries, and publish correspondence to raise the journal’s profile.
• Subedit submissions across all sections to improve clarity and ensure compliance with journal style.

Required profile

• Higher degree in a relevant discipline with post‑doctoral research experience or prior editorial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate constructively with the translational research community.
• Broad knowledge of biological and medical sciences.
• Exceptional command of English and ability to write engagingly.
• Willingness to travel internationally for meetings and conferences.
