Senior Internal Auditor – Europe

About the role

Del Monte is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Europe & Africa region. The role will be based in one of three European hubs – Barcelona, Lisbon or Milan – and will report to the Senior Director Regional Internal Audit.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit reviews of business processes and application systems to evaluate adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of controls.
• Prepare audit work papers, reports and management action plans to address identified observations.
• Maintain timely communication with business management and audit leadership on audit progress, roadblocks and findings.
• Update the Audit Manager and Zone Audit Director on potential issues and ensure compliance with company policies and Sarbanes‑Oxley legislation.
• Collaborate with the Global Internal Audit Competency Center to analyze issues with regional or global impact, develop trend analyses and share best practices.
• Assess the effectiveness of corrective actions and communicate observations through update meetings and closing conferences.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration).
• Significant experience in internal audit, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple audits and meet deadlines.
