Senior International Bid Manager

About the role

MRC Consultants and Transaction Advisers, a Veolia subsidiary based in Madrid, offers independent, high-quality advice across the full project cycle, focusing on decarbonisation, renewable energy, energy storage and climate-resilient infrastructure. It is looking for a full-time Senior International Bid Manager to support consultancy projects for the major International Financial Institutions (World Bank, EBRD, ADB) and the private sector in Spain and abroad. The role coordinates bidding and commercial processes, prepares Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and develops proposals in multiple languages.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prepare national and international tenders
• Ensure compliance with administrative, technical and financial aspects of tender documents
• Coordinate the Commercial team and other departments on the bidding process
• Maintain and update the tender database and documentation
• Write and review proposals and tender documents
• Take part in client and partner meetings for bid preparation and defence
• Support business development, manage corporate data such as CVs and project databases, and conduct market research
• Develop client relationships and partnerships, and assist in strategic marketing for energy-sector consultancy and engineering

Required profile

• University degree; postgraduate degree in Business Development, International Trade, International Development or similar (preferred)
• At least 5 years of experience in business development or tender preparation
• Valid residency and work permit in Spain
• Full professional fluency in English and at least one additional language (Spanish, French or another European language preferred)

Required skills

• Familiarity with international tender processes and multilateral organisations
• Knowledge of the energy sector
• MS Office and Google environment, other professional software, graphic design skills
• Planning, organisation, multitasking, detail orientation, analytical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication
