Senior iOS Engineer

About the role

Veriff’s Engineering team is building a reliable, secure and high‑performing iOS SDK that powers digital identity verification across a wide range of devices and network conditions. As a Senior iOS Engineer you will lead the development of this SDK, ensuring it remains fast, stable and easy to integrate for partner applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the iOS SDK using Swift, focusing on performance, security and usability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to deliver features that meet user needs.
• Address performance and compatibility challenges across diverse devices and network environments.
• Implement and improve testing strategies, including unit, integration and performance testing.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback and mentor junior engineers.
• Identify and advocate for new technologies, tools and best practices to boost development efficiency.
• Proactively detect bottlenecks, resolve reliability issues and contribute to the SDK’s technical direction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior iOS Engineer with a strong track record of building high‑quality iOS applications or SDKs.
• Deep expertise in Swift and core iOS frameworks (Cocoa Touch, UIKit, etc.).
• Experience designing scalable, testable codebases and APIs.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs and their integration into mobile apps.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and automation tools (unit, integration, performance testing, Fastlane).
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ownership mindset and excellent communication abilities.
