Senior IT Consultant - Healthcare Systems & Interoperability

About the role

A high-impact digital transformation project is looking for a Senior IT Consultant to join the evolution of the Healthcare Information System (HIS) supporting healthcare services in Valencia. The consultant contributes to designing and implementing interoperability solutions so that healthcare professionals can access accurate, connected and actionable information.

Key responsibilities

• Define functions and analyse requirements for healthcare information system projects, especially within Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
• Design and validate interoperability models
• Take part in projects based on HL7 FHIR standards
• Work with technical teams to design and implement interoperable APIs and services
• Prepare functional documentation and specifications
• Liaise with clients, clinical users and development teams
• Take part in data governance and knowledge management initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Health Sciences or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Consultant
• Experience in healthcare interoperability projects and with multidisciplinary teams
• Spanish and Catalan at native or professional level; English at professional level (minimum B2)

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HL7 FHIR and openEHR
• Functional analysis and process definition
• Nice to have: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, ORPHA, OMOP Common Data Model, healthcare data models, public healthcare projects
