Senior IT Project Manager – OT Infrastructure in Pharma

About the role

Fusion Consulting, a global Life Sciences boutique consultancy focused on S4HANA, Data & Cloud and innovative technologies, is looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager with a strong background in Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. The role manages complex IT/OT infrastructure projects in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance, operational reliability and alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT/OT infrastructure projects in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate implementation, upgrade and maintenance of OT infrastructure, including industrial networks, servers, virtualization and related systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between IT infrastructure and OT environments supporting manufacturing operations.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks and deliverables.
• Collaborate with IT, OT, engineering, automation, manufacturing, quality assurance and validation teams.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, including GMP/GxP and data integrity standards.
• Coordinate infrastructure qualification and validation activities with quality and validation teams.
• Manage external suppliers, system integrators and technology partners.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices, including network segmentation, access control and risk management.
• Coordinate documentation, reporting, stakeholder communication and governance, and manage risks and dependencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Automation or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in IT project management, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or another highly regulated industry.
• Proven experience managing IT/OT infrastructure projects in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in GMP/GxP-regulated environments.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of servers, virtualization, storage, networking and infrastructure services.
• Familiarity with OT environments, industrial networks, automation systems and manufacturing infrastructure.
• Project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid approaches.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams, budgets, schedules and external vendors.
• Advantageous: knowledge of CSV/CSA, GAMP 5, ISA/IEC 62443, MES, SCADA, DCS and PLC environments.
