Senior Legal Counsel – AI & Commercial

About the role

As a Senior Legal Counsel you will join King’s global and Activision Blizzard EMEA legal team, supporting AI adoption and commercial activities across the business. You will work closely with the AI Centre of Excellence, the Head of Legal and commercial units to balance legal risk with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the AI Centre of Excellence to develop a risk‑based approach for AI tool intake and usage.
• Provide legal guidance on AI contracts, IP protection, litigation risk and compliance with emerging AI regulations.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including AI‑related contracts with third‑party providers.
• Support data‑protection matters by drafting data‑processing agreements and advising on privacy issues in commercial contracts.
• Deliver ad‑hoc training to legal colleagues and business teams on AI and commercial law topics.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in‑house within gaming, tech, media or e‑commerce.
• Strong knowledge of UK and European laws, including data‑protection and commercial legislation.
• Demonstrated interest in AI technologies and their legal implications.
• Passion for the gaming industry and King’s products.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Understanding of AI implementation and related regulatory landscape.
• Knowledge of data‑protection and privacy law.
