Senior Principal AI Consultant

About the role

Evinova, a new health-tech business backed by AstraZeneca, uses advanced algorithms and GenAI to boost clinical trial success by 20%, cut development time by 3 years and halve study costs. It is looking for a Senior Principal AI Consultant who combines business acumen with solid tech expertise. The role covers internal development initiatives and client-facing, consulting-style engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Present the progress of AI initiatives, gather feedback and turn complex technical outcomes into clear business value for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Build sophisticated GenAI, machine learning and optimization solutions tailored to life sciences.
• Act as a bridge between AI capabilities and real-world pharmaceutical needs, delivering digital transformation across AI, product, strategy and UX.

Required profile

• 5+ years designing novel algorithms and applied AI/ML solutions that delivered measurable business impact.
• Consulting experience, focused on data/AI initiatives and client engagement.
• Experience building GenAI solutions for real-world use cases, including agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, Google GenAI SDK and LlamaIndex.
• Expertise using GenAI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to speed up development.
• Expert knowledge of Python, standard packages (pandas, scikit-learn) and data cleaning and processing methods.
• Stakeholder management in high-stakes contexts and excellent verbal and written communication, presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Nice to have: previous life sciences experience.
