Senior Project Manager - Engineering & Architecture Projects

About the role

IPS is an international EPCM company delivering engineering, project management, automation and architectural services to industrial clients worldwide, with operations in more than 10 countries. It is looking for a Senior Project Manager to strengthen its team in Madrid, Spain, with open mobility. The role covers project and portfolio management, project development and support of large projects.

Key responsibilities

• Project portfolio piloting and project management
• Contract management, including change-order and dispute management
• Project set-up and launch through to team mobilization (typically one month)
• Act as a project team member as needed
• Technical preparation of offers and administration of quotations and orders
• Presentation and defense of offers to clients
• Support the Large Projects IBUM team in its day-to-day functions: recruitment and management of the team, project audit and deployment of the project-management methodology and improvement loop

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience (8-10 years in project management)
• Management experience on international projects with CAPEX above 250 million euros and a decentralized structure
• Hands-on experience across all aspects of the project life cycle and knowledge of multiple disciplines
• Exposure to multiple industrial sectors and experience in at least two project contexts: brownfield, greenfield, shutdown and demolition
• Experience in lumpsum projects and in preparing offers, with a track record of winning them
• Fluent English and Spanish, travel availability and willingness to move
