Senior SAP ABAP Developer – EWM

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to strengthen its national EWM systems. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ABAP code within a diverse, multinational ERP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs for EWM and related modules.
• Write clear technical documentation and collaborate with business key users and SAP service owners.
• Apply SAP best practices, Golden Rules, and Airbus development standards.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and drive quality and performance improvements.
• Work closely with international, multifunctional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Contribute to S/4 strategies for the future ERP landscape.
• Guide junior developers and act as deputy manager when needed.
• Ensure compliance with change‑management and development guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience (S/4 HANA experience desirable).
• Experience with SAP modules such as EWM, QM, or CS.
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to coach colleagues and convey technical concepts.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving orientation, and team spirit.

• ABAP programming (module pool, OO, BAdI, user exit, enhancement framework).
• Adobe Forms development.
• DDIC, ALV, function modules, RFC, BAPI.
• IDOC (EDI & ALE), web services, OData.
