Senior SOC Team Coordinator (German) – Hybrid

About the role

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is looking for a motivated Senior SOC Team Coordinator to join its Cyber Defense Center in Malaga, Spain. The senior position takes ownership of operational coordination, gives guidance within the SOC team and supports the delivery of cybersecurity services in a 24x7 environment for German-speaking and international clients. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities within a 24x7 Security Operations Center and monitor incident handling, ticket queues and escalations.
• Support the coordination of major incidents and critical security events, and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Help analysts with day-to-day operational questions and prioritisation.
• Contribute to improving SOC processes, playbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with customers, service managers, technical teams and international stakeholders.
• Support reporting, quality assurance, audit-related activities and service review preparation.

Required profile

• Fluent German (written and spoken, C1 or higher) and good English.
• Knowledge of IT security and cyber security principles and of security incident management.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Ideally: knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel, awareness of cloud security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), and basic understanding of threat detection, incident response, ITIL or certifications such as SC-200 or CompTIA Security+.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or IBM QRadar.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in an international delivery setup.
