Senior Software Engineer - Elixir

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team behind its iOS and Android apps and website. The role is based in Spain and is 100% home-office friendly. The engineer works on production-grade code that handles high traffic, from architecture design to implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in planning, grooming and retrospectives, and integrate quickly into the team
• Learn the tech stack, frameworks, CI/CD workflows and infrastructure
• Write and merge pull requests that run in production
• Solve complex problems from architecture design to implementation
• Contribute to hackdays and hackathons with other teams
• By month six, own parts of the systems, launch a new microservice from 0 to production, and mentor colleagues through code reviews, architecture sessions and pair programming

Required profile

• Proven software development results and experience, with a focus on code quality
• Ability to handle services with high concurrency and high-volume requests
• Proficiency in business English

Required skills

• Good practices, testing and design patterns
• Event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption)
• Relational databases and SQL
• Plus: Django/Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
