Senior Software Engineer - Finance & Compliance

About the role

Fever, a global platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Finance & Compliance team, based in Spain (remote or hybrid). The team calculates revenue, invoices partners and customers in more than 50 countries and automates tax reporting, with engineers shaping the product together with the Product Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate company revenue by applying technology to a complex system of commercial conditions.
• Invoice and settle with partners in more than 50 countries, and invoice end-users and businesses.
• Automate tax reporting and compliance with relevant authorities.
• Build processes for product categorization to ensure correct tax application per product type.
• Provide accurate, transparent revenue data to investors and partners, with full traceability of taxes collected and paid.

Required profile

• Experience with domain-driven design, event-driven architectures and asyncio for concurrency.
• Proficiency in business English.
• Onboarding includes a structured ramp-up, then designing end-to-end features, architectural discussions and mentoring others.

Required skills

• Maintainable, scalable code with test-driven development and design patterns.
• Relational databases and SQL.
• Event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Datadog or similar profiling and monitoring tools.
• Ideally: Python (Django/Fast API), PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
