Senior Software Engineer - Geo-localized Services

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a backend engineer to build and operate geo-localized user platform services. The role focuses on data residency, multi-region reliability and privacy compliance. It is open to candidates based anywhere in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• First month: set up your local environment, learn the Python-based stack, CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, and run your first code in production.
• After 3 months: design and implement end-to-end features, take part in architectural discussions and improve APIs, and work with event-driven systems on performance, reliability and scalability.
• By month 6: take ownership of core components, lead by example through code reviews, design sessions and mentoring, and contribute to best practices in scalability, observability and system design.

Required profile

• Experience building geo-distributed or geo-localized systems, including multi-region deployments, latency-sensitive design, regional failover and data residency.
• Strong backend fundamentals: API design, testing, observability and running services in production.
• Hands-on experience with CockroachDB or AWS DynamoDB, including Global Tables.
• A plus: login/authentication flows, GDPR / privacy-by-design experience, Python backend services, Kafka, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
