Senior Technical SEO Specialist

About the Role

Join IcelandExpress.com, a cutting-edge AI-powered travel platform dedicated to revolutionizing how users plan their Icelandic adventures. We are looking for a hands-on Technical SEO Specialist to take full ownership of our organic foundation and drive long-term growth from day one.

Main Missions

• Lead and execute a comprehensive SEO migration, including complex 301 redirect mapping from existing domains.
• Define and implement site architecture, URL structures, and advanced internal linking strategies.
• Ensure optimal indexing, crawling, and overall technical health via Google Search Console, sitemaps, and robots.txt management.
• Collaborate closely with our development team (Next.js stack) to integrate SEO best practices into the core product.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals and overall site performance to meet search engine standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical SEO issues impacting organic visibility.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in technical SEO and large-scale website migrations.
• Expertise in managing crawlability, indexing, and Google Search Console.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment with a focus on execution.
• Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between marketing and engineering.
• Experience with programmatic SEO or content-driven SEO is a significant plus.
