Senior Tendering Engineer

About the role

Sulzer is looking for a Tendering Engineer to join its Services team in Algete, Madrid. The role suits a technically minded and commercially aware professional who enjoys a dynamic international environment and wants to make a direct impact on business performance. You will prepare and manage quotations for spare parts, duplicate pumps, maintenance solutions and other service opportunities, working with colleagues across South Europe, North Africa and other Sulzer entities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare commercial and technical quotations for spare parts, duplicate pumps and maintenance solutions.
• Analyse customer specifications and technical requirements to develop competitive proposals.
• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers, manufacturers and other Sulzer entities.
• Create, manage and maintain quotations in SAP and other internal systems.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Engineering and other stakeholders.
• Review technical configurations and validate incoming orders before handover to execution teams.
• Support sales teams and customers through the quotation and proposal process, and support forecasting and quotation reporting.
• Contribute to the SAP Hana transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in tendering, proposal engineering, industrial quotations, technical sales, inside sales or a similar technical-commercial role.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to Burgos during onboarding and as required by the role.
• Preferred: engineering degree or technical education, and experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering, construction or chemical industries.

Required skills

• Preferred: SAP experience and Salesforce knowledge.
• Preferred: familiarity with industrial equipment, cost analysis, pricing and margin evaluation, and project management in a commercial or technical environment.
