Solution Architect SAP MM & Ariba (m/f/d)

About the role

Fresenius is looking for a Solution Architect SAP MM & Ariba to design, implement and optimise SAP-based procurement solutions that strengthen end-to-end Source-to-Pay processes. As a global technical expert, you will align SAP MM and SAP Ariba solutions with business goals while supporting implementations and operations in a regulated environment, working with business stakeholders, IT teams and suppliers. The role involves international travel and may include long-term assignments during global rollouts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement SAP MM and SAP Ariba solutions that optimise procurement operations.
• Integrate SAP MM and SAP Ariba with Finance and other SAP modules, including SD, for seamless end-to-end processes.
• Manage global SAP MM and SAP Ariba rollouts in line with local and international logistics and trade regulations.
• Lead validation activities for inventory and supplier-related processes, especially in pharmaceutical environments.
• Oversee the technical implementation of procurement portals and supplier interfaces.
• Identify, propose and implement system improvements that streamline Source-to-Pay workflows.
• Provide SAP procurement expertise to large transformation programmes and global rollout initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum six years of experience designing and implementing solutions focused on Source-to-Pay.
• Experience delivering global projects and collaborating with international teams and suppliers in matrix organisations.
• Strong intercultural awareness, prioritisation across multiple projects, and excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English and willingness to travel.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of SAP MM in SAP ERP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, and expert knowledge of SAP Ariba.
• Understanding of Finance processes within Source-to-Pay and broad knowledge of SAP ERP.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with service management tools such as ServiceNow.
