Staff Android Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Android Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise‑grade Android platform. Based in Spain, you will shape mobile experiences powered by AI‑driven market intelligence for thousands of global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Android platform architecture, defining modular structures, engineering standards, and scalable native patterns.
• Lead end‑to‑end system design, translating complex product and technical requirements into resilient, production‑grade Android solutions.
• Improve delivery reliability by shaping testing strategies, release processes, observability, automation, and AI‑supported validation frameworks.
• Define and maintain mobile system contracts in collaboration with backend, iOS, product, and design teams.
• Elevate engineering quality by introducing reusable patterns, technical standards, and stronger architectural decision‑making practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in modern Android development with a proven track record of owning architecture or leading platform‑level initiatives.
• Strong understanding of mobile system design, API contracts, backend interactions, and cross‑platform trade‑offs.
• Ability to debug backend systems when needed to resolve mobile‑facing challenges.
• Experience improving release reliability, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and production observability.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication skills and experience mentoring engineers.
