Staff Product Designer (UX Leadership)

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Staff Product Designer to join its UX team and act as a design leader across several product initiatives. The role is highly influential and hands-on, driving the vision, strategy and execution of complex user experiences while mentoring other designers and shaping UX maturity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to product, engineering, data and UX research, defining team strategy and the roadmap for complex initiatives
• Define the long-term user experience vision and lead design from concept through high-fidelity implementation
• Serve on the UX leadership team and collaborate with managers and other staff designers
• Translate user needs and business metrics into measurable product impact
• Lead and influence product decisions, and architect information structures and design patterns
• Contribute to the design system, mentor peers and help set design standards and documentation
• Work closely with engineering so designs fit production scale and technical constraints
• Mentor junior to senior designers and run workshops and presentations to build consensus

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience with user interfaces, interaction paradigms and visual design patterns
• A strong portfolio with case studies showing process, problem-solving and design leadership
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, and the ability to work autonomously with stakeholders
• Ability to think through complex problems, architect design frameworks and work in ambiguity
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn, teach and mentor

Required skills

• Clear excellence in at least two core craft domains (interaction, visual, prototyping)
• Accessibility best practices for design and software development
• Deep knowledge of iOS, Android and web operating system standards and guidelines
