Steward – Food & Beverage Operations

About the role

Join a leading hospitality brand in Barcelona as a Steward, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the food and beverage areas. You will support kitchen and store operations by handling dishwashing, sanitation, and waste management tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen surfaces, tools, knives, silverware and equipment using appropriate chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items that do not meet quality standards.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trashcans, manage dumpster areas and recycle cardboard and glass.
• Clean and mop all assigned department areas, following health and safety policies.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Support team communication and uphold quality expectations.

Required profile

• No specific education or prior experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capable of standing, walking or sitting for extended periods and reaching overhead or below the knees.
• Willingness to follow company safety, security and quality procedures.

Required skills

• Dishwashing machine operation.
• Sanitizing chemical handling.
