Structural Test Engineer – Military Derivatives

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Structural Test Engineer to join its Structural Testing Team in Getafe, Madrid. You will lead and execute structural and dynamic test campaigns for military‑derived programmes, ensuring compliance with safety and performance specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Test Leader for new programmes, planning tests globally and managing workload and KPIs.
• Lead execution and compliance phases of static, fatigue, damage‑tolerance, stiffness, bird‑impact and calibration tests.
• Prepare and issue official test documentation such as Test Plans, Test Results and instrumentation records.
• Define test load programs, select instrumentation for in‑flight load measurement and derive load‑determination formulas.
• Manage tooling manufacturing, mechanical assembly, technical approval and continuous support.
• Perform structural‑integrity analyses and coordinate inspections to guarantee the integrity of test tools and setups.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural testing, mechanical assembly or test management.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong leadership, adaptability and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
