Supplier Liaison Coordinator

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Supplier Liaison Coordinator to support supplier onboarding, readiness and compliance as part of a new logistics operating model. Based in Valencia, the role acts as the key link between suppliers and internal teams, making sure bookings, documentation, cargo readiness and operational milestones are managed so that suppliers can join the new network smoothly. It also plays a central part in driving supplier adoption and spotting risks early.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier onboarding, including communications, training and readiness assessments.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring they understand processes, requirements and service expectations.
• Validate supplier information, operational capabilities, documentation processes and readiness for go-live.
• Monitor booking, documentation and operational compliance to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
• Identify and escalate risks related to cargo readiness, documentation, production or systems.
• Support suppliers during implementation and guide them through operational challenges.
• Track supplier performance, compliance and recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
• Work with Procurement, Operations, Control Tower, Planning and other stakeholders to improve supplier performance.

Required profile

• Experience in supplier management, customer experience, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding or transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of shipping, export documentation and operational processes.
• Proactive problem solving with a focus on risk identification and resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Experience supporting operational change, onboarding programmes or process improvement is an advantage.
