Transport Network Planner

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Transport Network Planner to design, optimize and maintain transportation network solutions that support reliable, efficient and cost-effective logistics operations. Based in Valencia, the role turns customer and business requirements into executable network plans, ensuring the right service, routing, lead times and carrier solutions are in place. You will work closely with Procurement, Control Tower, carriers, terminals and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain transportation network plans, routing strategies and service solutions across multiple logistics flows.
• Develop and manage lane profiles, lead-time models and service requirements.
• Define and optimize routing, consolidation, mode selection and carrier allocation strategies.
• Collaborate with Procurement and operational teams on carrier sourcing, network implementation and service deployment.
• Analyze network performance, costs, service levels and capacity utilization to find improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate alternative scenarios and recommend balanced solutions.
• Keep network plans, routing guides and carrier information aligned with business needs.
• Support continuous improvement through data analysis and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Experience in transportation planning, logistics, supply chain, network design or freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of multimodal transportation, routing, consolidation and logistics operations.
• Experience analyzing network performance, costs, lead times and service levels.
• Commercial mindset and strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, international environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Proficiency in BI tools or other data analysis and network planning solutions.
