Supply Chain Quality Manager – Temporary Agency Role

About the role

This position is within Airbus’s Procurement Operations, specifically the Composites & Chemicals team, and is focused on ensuring on‑time, on‑quality deliveries to Airbus and its supply base. The role is primarily based on a supplier plant in Jerez, with about 80 % of the time spent on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate tactical activities and mid‑term actions with the composites commodity Multi‑Functional Team and related stakeholders.
• Ensure industrial qualification of suppliers and products according to Airbus requirements.
• Manage contract execution, guaranteeing suppliers meet on‑time and on‑quality delivery targets.
• Monitor and enforce constant compliance of suppliers and products with Airbus standards.
• Oversee supplier performance and implement recovery plans when necessary.
• Plan, support and monitor supplier development aligned with Airbus sourcing strategy.
• Perform production control at the supplier’s facility, monitoring daily progress of the “Omegas” work package from lay‑up to packaging.
• Provide daily progress reports and act as the focal point for manufacturing functions.
• Escalate and resolve any blocking situations that threaten daily manufacturing targets.
• Collaborate with Airbus Cádiz functions to remove obstacles and achieve a minimum target of two engines per day (ideal twelve per week).

Required profile

• Engineering or other technical degree.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Fluent negotiation level in English and Spanish.
• Strong autonomy, effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally with a transnational, intercultural mindset.
