About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, results‑oriented Tax Assistant Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local, regional and multinational clients.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day execution of tax compliance and advisory engagements for clients across multiple industries.
- Prepare and review corporation tax returns, tax computations, deferred tax calculations, VAT returns and withholding tax filings.
- Assist in drafting technical tax opinions, advisory memoranda and client correspondence.
- Research domestic, regional and international tax legislation and provide practical recommendations.
- Support advisory projects involving corporate restructurings, business acquisitions, tax planning, transfer pricing and cross‑border transactions.
- Liaise with the Board of Inland Revenue and other tax authorities on assessments, objections, audits and clearances.
- Assist audit teams with reviews of corporate tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and tax‑related disclosures.
- Monitor legislative changes and communicate implications to engagement teams and clients.
- Prepare engagement budgets, track progress against timelines and manage work‑in‑progress.
- Supervise, coach and provide technical guidance to Associates, reviewing their work for quality and compliance.
Required profile
- Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation and statutory filing requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Experience supervising junior staff and delivering technical guidance.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and liaison with tax authorities.
