Tax Compliance Officer – US Tax Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Compliance Officer to join our team and support an asset manager based in Zurich. The role focuses on tax compliance and reporting for European and US private equity funds, ensuring adherence to international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and reporting for European and US private equity funds.
• Ensure FATCA and AEOI compliance in all reports and forms.
• Coordinate with external law firms and service providers.
• Prepare tax reporting for investors.
• Monitor tax compliance (FATCA/CRS, AEOI) and review tax processes and controls.
• Maintain tax databases and track national and international tax regulations.
• Implement regulatory changes in collaboration with IT.
• Participate in ad‑hoc tax projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Tax or Finance with a specialization in Taxation.
• Professional experience in a Big 4 or consulting environment.
• Background in international tax for funds and fund structuring.
• Experience with FATCA, AEOI, withholding taxes and VAT.
• Knowledge of US tax forms such as W‑8 and W‑9.
• Proven ability to work independently, precisely and responsibly.
• Fluent English and strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
