Tax Manager Iberia

About the role

The multinational industrial group is seeking a Tax Manager to lead its tax function in Spain. Reporting directly to the Global Tax Director, the role combines local tax management with international exposure and participation in group‑wide projects.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of Spanish tax obligations, including VAT (SII), Corporate Income Tax, withholding tax and other filings.
• Review and validate tax returns prepared internally or by external advisors.
• Manage external advisors and monitor tax law changes.
• Lead tax audits, define response strategies and liaise with tax authorities.
• Analyse VAT implications on B2B/B2C and cross‑border operations, advise on invoicing and recovery.
• Review corporate tax provisions, monitor positions, identify optimisation opportunities.
• Support tax digital tools, improve processes, controls and documentation, and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Provide tax advice to Finance, Legal and other business teams.
• Coordinate international tax matters, group projects and transfer‑pricing documentation.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of tax experience, preferably in a Big Four or in‑house environment.
• Strong expertise in Spanish VAT and Corporate Income Tax.
• Proven experience managing tax compliance and interacting with tax authorities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Solid understanding of international tax concepts is a plus.
