Tax Technology Analyst – Transfer Pricing

About the role
Novartis is looking for a Tax Technology Analyst to support global Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation and R&D tax credit processes. Based in Barcelona, you will work with cutting‑edge AI‑enabled tools and advanced analytics to streamline compliance and improve transparency across the group.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare global TP documentation reports in line with OECD BEPS requirements and local jurisdictional rules.
- Automate and standardise TP documentation workflows using AI‑enabled solutions, data analytics and tax technology tools.
- Support the implementation of a global R&D tax credit process, including calculations for multiple countries.
- Collaborate with Operational Transfer Pricing teams to monitor local profitability and benchmark compliance.
- Assist in TP tax audits and controversy matters by coordinating information requests and preparing audit responses.
- Identify opportunities for AI‑based automation and data‑driven process improvements.
Required profile
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in economics or related field.
- At least 1.5 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, reputable legal firm, or in‑house corporate tax/TP role.
- Strong understanding of OECD TP regulations pre‑ and post‑BEPS.
- Interest and capability in tax technology, data analytics and automation.
