Tech Lead

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Tech Lead to lead engineering development for a product team. The role suits someone with strong software development experience who cares about code quality and wants to mentor others. It is based in Spain, with home-office flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering development for a product team and plan strategies that let the architecture support future requirements.
• Contribute to improving team processes and mentor other experienced engineers.
• During onboarding: meet the team, set up the Python-based stack, CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, and run your first production code.
• After 3 months: design and implement end-to-end features, take part in architectural discussions and work with event-driven systems focused on performance, reliability and scalability.
• By month 6: take ownership of core components, lead by example in code reviews and design sessions, and contribute to scalability, observability and system design.

Required profile

• Proven software development results and experience, with strong opinions and a hands-on mindset.
• Full ownership of your work and proficiency in business English.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and to improve yourself and your team.

Required skills

• Good practices, testing and design patterns.
• Relational databases and distributed systems, including scalability and resilience.
• Delivering code from development to production.
• Nice to have: Django/Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ, event streaming, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile, and handling services with more than 1,000 requests per second.

What we offer

• Base salary of 65,000 to 80,000 EUR, total compensation of 80,000 to 108,000 EUR including variable and stock options.
