Tech Support Engineer

About the role

Fever, a global platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for Tech Support Engineers to join its Engineering team. You will act as a technical point of contact between business operations and engineering, keeping systems running smoothly and improving the user experience. The role involves incident management, on-call rotations and deep investigation of bugs in high-scale production environments, with internal mobility toward full-time software engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical point of contact for incident management, triage, escalation and resolution
• Take part in on-call rotations and support critical Sev1/Sev2 production incidents
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the client-server architecture
• Investigate using logs, monitoring tools and database analysis
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries and investigate APIs, services and backend flows
• Work with Product, Engineering and Operations to improve reliability
• Document workarounds and incident learnings, and help improve monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical support, production support or similar roles
• Experience in production environments with critical incidents and on-call rotations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Professional English (written and spoken) and experience with international teams
• Nice to have: BSc in Computer Science or IT, and a GitHub account or open-source contributions

Required skills

• PostgreSQL, MySQL or other relational databases, including complex SQL and stored procedures
• RESTful APIs, JSON and Unix/Linux
• Jira or Zendesk, and monitoring/logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana or Kibana
• Nice to have: JavaScript, Java, Python, Go or Elixir; AWS, Docker and Kubernetes; Android/iOS; academic degree
