Technical Sales Representative CRM - Santa Cruz, Canary Islands

About the role

Abbott is hiring a Technical Sales Representative for its CRM Cardiac Rhythm Management division, based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands), with Las Palmas as a second possible location. The role is a sales position focused on serving the existing customer base, growing sales within it and opening new accounts, with moderate complexity and about 50% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the sales quota by servicing the current customer base, increasing sales volume and establishing new accounts.
• Handle customer complaints and recommend consignment where necessary.
• Implement sales plans to increase market penetration and open new accounts.
• Maintain a good understanding of Abbott's medical therapies and products, and act as a company ambassador with customers, institutions, physicians and technicians.
• Prepare reports, draft conclusions and perform administrative duties such as expense reporting, appointment scheduling and travel planning.
• Follow pricing, quotes, credit terms, expense reporting and quality guidelines, and share best practices before and after sales calls.
• Use the Account Profiling system to record account details such as decision makers, competitors, needs and call frequency.
• Comply with HCP guidelines and plan weekly travel schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or engineering.
• 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the medical device industry.
• Basic understanding of Abbott Medical (or similar) product lines and of the business, market and account needs.
• English level B2-C1 (international training).
• Experience in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse environment; driver's licence mandatory.
• Well organised, able to meet tight deadlines, with excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
