Territory Manager - Ophthalmology (Basque Country, Cantabria, Navarre)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is looking for a Territory Manager covering the Basque Country, Cantabria and Navarre, within its MedTech Surgical business. The role drives growth in the IOLs (intraocular lens) portfolio through strategic partnerships, market analysis and new business, supporting strategic customers and Key Accounts. It reports to the local Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Define the influence and decision-maker map and implement tailored business development plans to reach sales targets and expand market presence.
• Present the portfolio and equipment to clients, addressing their specific needs.
• Coordinate with Sales Managers to set and prioritise development plans for key private customers.
• Track and report on action plans and sales performance, giving regular updates to senior management.
• Manage inventory, deposits and CapEx in line with company policy.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and provide input to the sales forecast.
• Expand market share and revenue for the anterior segment portfolio, with a focus on IOLs, and support commercial efforts with other regional accounts.
• Work with internal teams to align strategies and supervise sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Handle account management, territory analysis, product promotion and tender management.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Life Sciences.
• 3 years' experience, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to travel about 30% of the time.

Required skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and complete sales plans.
• Preferred: market access experience.
• Preferred: proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
