Thermo-Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Airbus CRISA is seeking a Thermo-Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Flight Units Assemblies team in Tres Cantos, supporting multiple space programmes such as Launchers, Earth Exploration, Space Exploration and Commercial satellites. The role focuses on designing and delivering electronic flight equipment that meets strict schedule, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project requirements and develop mechanical and thermal architectures at module and unit level.
• Perform thermodynamics, heat‑transfer and mechanical analyses (static, dynamic, vibration, shock) to ensure robustness across mission scenarios.
• Document designs and analyses and support major project reviews (Requirement, Preliminary, Architecture, Critical Design).
• Assist the test team during qualification and acceptance, monitoring changes and resolving non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Strong background in thermodynamics, heat‑transfer and mechanical analysis.
• Experience with finite‑element tools and scripting for automation.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary project team and communicate technical information clearly.
