Tools Programmer

About the role

IO Interactive is looking for a passionate Tools Programmer to join the Backbone team and help evolve the proprietary Glacier engine. You will shape the Glacier editor and related tools, delivering intuitive and high‑performance experiences for designers, artists, sound designers, producers and other creators.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement improvements to the Glacier WYSIWYG editor and associated tooling.
• Collaborate closely with designers and end‑users across multiple disciplines to translate production needs into polished tools.
• Build responsive, user‑friendly interfaces that enable content creators to work efficiently.
• Estimate, break down, and deliver your own tasks while contributing to peer reviews.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of C# and C++ with solid code‑design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with WPF or similar UI frameworks; interest in new interface technologies is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering polished, performant user experiences.
• Comfortable collaborating with designers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to estimate work and provide constructive feedback.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; a Master's degree is advantageous.
