Travel Consultant - After Hours Services

About the role

Amex GBT is hiring a Travel Counselor for its After Hours team, working remotely in a shared customer environment. The role serves corporate business clients, both individuals and groups, and is part of a 24/7 operation. The position is based in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers, anticipating their needs and selling additional services
• Analyze and research travel options and book domestic and international business travel (air, road, rail and accommodation)
• Use the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS); refreshment training may be provided
• Ensure compliance with customers' travel policies, service provider policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide positive telephone service and handle special customer requests
• Collaborate with the team to coach, mentor and give constructive feedback to improve service levels

Required profile

• Native or full working proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; Spanish and other European languages are a plus
• At least two years of experience
• Background in business travel, leisure travel or airline reservations
• Attention to detail, integrity and quick, independent resolution of customer issues

Required skills

• Native GDS expertise (Amadeus)
• Strong understanding of the travel industry
