Travel Counselor - English and Spanish

About the role

Amex GBT is hiring a Travel Counselor for its After Hours team, working remotely from Barcelona. The counselor provides outstanding service to corporate business clients, both individuals and groups, in a shared customer environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers, anticipating their needs and selling additional services
• Analyze and research travel options and arrange and book domestic and international business travel (air, road, rail and accommodation)
• Use the Amadeus Global Distribution System (refreshment training may be provided)
• Ensure compliance with customers' travel policies, service provider policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide positive telephone service and handle special customer requests
• Coach, mentor and give constructive feedback to teammates to improve service levels

Required profile

• Native GDS expertise (Amadeus) and at least 1 year of experience
• Strong understanding of the travel industry (business travel, leisure travel or airline reservations)
• Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently, with attention to detail and integrity
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

Required skills

• Native GDS expertise (Amadeus)
• Professional written and spoken English; Spanish and another European language are a plus
