Director, Global Supply Chain

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. To invest in the future of clinical trial supply and logistics, it is setting up a new kit production facility in Spain and is looking for an experienced supply chain leader to build and shape the operation from the ground up. As Director, Global Supply Chain, you will provide strategic leadership across global logistics and kit production operations, combining operational leadership, commercial impact and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction of global logistics and kit production operations.
• Build, develop and mentor high-performing teams across multiple global locations.
• Drive operational excellence, process improvement and scalable supply chain solutions.
• Develop strong partnerships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor governance, contract management and supplier performance.
• Manage departmental budgets, revenue objectives and margin performance.
• Ensure quality, compliance and audit readiness across global operations.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience within global supply chain, logistics, clinical supplies or clinical trial operations.
• Proven success leading international teams and complex operational environments.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO or clinical research industry.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
