VIE Harness Designer – Spain (Albacete)

About the role

The VIE (Volunteer for International Experience) program offers a paid, 6‑to‑24‑month contract for young professionals to work as a 3D Harness Designer at Airbus Helicopters in Albacete, Spain. You will join the engineering department and contribute to the development of electrical systems for helicopter platforms such as the H160, VSR700, H175, RACER and City Airbus.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D electrical harness routing using CATIA V5 EHI module.
• Study and position harness supports and generate 3D interface plans with the aircraft structure.
• Produce 2D manufacturing plans with CATIA V5 EHF module.
• Develop installation drawings for helicopter assembly.
• Perform impact analysis when design modifications occur.
• Coordinate with other departments and professions within the design office.
• Provide production support on assembly lines or in production centres.

Required profile

• European Union citizen (or Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco) up to 28 years old.
• Graduated and has fulfilled any national military obligations.
• Knowledge of 3D harness routing and production drawing creation.
• Experience managing a DMU and 3D environment.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 electrical modules.
• Understanding of aeronautical electrical harness installation rules.
• Ability to work in a complex, changing environment and maintain a project overview.
