Volunteer Editor & Writer for Sustainable Fashion Book

About the role

We are looking for a volunteer editor and writer to help shape a book on sustainable fashion in collaboration with Ashoka Fellow‑led initiatives. The role involves reviewing, rewriting, and strengthening a multi‑author manuscript to make it publication‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Review, edit and rewrite sections of the manuscript for clarity, consistency and academic rigor.
• Write new content to fill gaps or expand underdeveloped sections.
• Ensure uniform tone, structure and citation style across all chapters.
• Verify existing references and conduct additional research as needed.
• Support the final preparation of the manuscript for publication.

Required profile

• Completed a thesis or academic research project at Master’s or PhD level.
• Strong academic writing, research and editing abilities in English.
• Highly detail‑oriented and comfortable working with fragmented text.
• Ability to synthesize and unify material from multiple authors.
