Waiter/Waitress – Hotel Santiago

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Waiter/Waitress to join the service team at Hotel Barceló Santiago in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience in a 4‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve and sell food and beverages autonomously and responsibly.
• Welcome guests, guide them to their tables and manage seating when needed.
• Provide direct assistance during meals, answering guest requests promptly.
• Prepare, set up and dismantle service areas, including arranging tables, chairs and related equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations and service areas.

Required profile

• Medium‑level hospitality training (Ciclo Formativo Grado Medio en Hostelería) and HACCP certification.
• At least one year of experience in a similar waiter/waitress role.
• High level of English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of cocktail preparation and general restaurant operations is valued.
• Team‑player with ability to work under pressure, good personal presentation and strong customer orientation.
