Windows & Active Directory Systems Administrator (UNICC)

About the role

UNICC is looking for a Windows and Systems Administrator to join its Platform Operations team. The main purpose is to operate, maintain and troubleshoot systems, services, configurations and core applications deployed in the Infrastructure and Platform Operations Unit (OPBO). The position is based in Valencia, Spain, or remote working in the CET time zone, for a duration of 6 months with possible extensions depending on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot Windows systems in an enterprise-server environment
• Maintain best practices for patch management, virus management and operating system upgrades
• Manage Active Directory, including GPOs, DNS and DHCP
• Perform root cause analysis of system errors and client issues
• Define and implement security best practices and hardening of Windows Server and related technologies
• Build and manage Windows failover clusters
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
• Provide incident management, problem management and service request fulfillment support
• Participate in planning and developing new features, forecast capacity needs, assist with deployment of new applications and work with other teams to optimize services

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience administering Windows Server in large environments
• Excellent communication skills, working directly with customers and other technical teams
• Willingness to work a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to out-of-band emergencies
• Deep problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to work independently and in a team
