Android Engineer

About the role

Monzo is looking for a product‑focused Android Engineer to help evolve its native mobile app used by millions of customers. You will join a small, autonomous squad that collaborates closely with iOS engineers, backend developers, designers, product managers and data scientists to deliver polished, high‑impact features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android components of Monzo’s mobile banking app.
• Write clean, well‑tested code that balances speed of delivery with reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to define product goals and implementation strategies.
• Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions and contribute to the mobile platform squad.
• Help shape both what is built and how it is built across the mobile engineering organization.
