Business Analyst – Data & Digital Solutions

About the role

As a Business Analyst within the BASF Digital Hub in Madrid, you will turn data into actionable insights that support business decisions across the organization. You will work closely with product and data‑modelling teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications and help deliver data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, gather and document requirements from users and product owners.
• Analyse requirements against the existing technology landscape and propose feasible solutions using available tools.
• Evaluate data availability, technical constraints and potential impact of proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with product teams and data‑modelling specialists to define data needs, mapping and documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts and progress to non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and experiment with new approaches to solve use‑cases.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations for key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Proven consulting experience with exposure to user‑needs analysis and documentation.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
