Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our Information Security team in Barcelona. The position focuses on strengthening our global security posture through hands‑on work with SIEM/SOC operations, endpoint protection, network security and privileged access management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise and cloud security solutions in line with corporate standards.
• Collaborate with SOC and monitoring teams to improve visibility, detection and control effectiveness.
• Maintain and enhance the vulnerability management program, providing remediation guidance and risk‑reduction metrics.
• Integrate and automate security data and processes across enterprise platforms.
• Evaluate new security technologies and ensure their secure adoption.
• Define security requirements, run proof‑of‑value tests and operationalise tools to improve the organisation’s security posture.
• Monitor emerging threats and design mitigations.
• Respond to security incidents and SOC escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years designing, implementing and supporting cybersecurity solutions in enterprise and cloud environments.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on systems engineering or network administration.
• Proven experience with enterprise security technologies such as SIEM, XDR/EDR, vulnerability management and secure access tools.
• Optional: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field and relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, GIAC).
