Data Engineering Analyst (Barcelona)

About the role

Metyis is expanding its international Data & Analytics team in Barcelona and is seeking a Data Engineering Analyst with at least one year of experience. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and data scientists to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that support business‑critical analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose data‑related problems, develop hypotheses and implement effective solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related technologies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring cost‑effective and reliable operations.
• Manage large datasets in Azure Data Lake Storage, keeping data organized and accessible.
• Apply data quality and governance best practices to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Collaborate with data scientists to support analytics and machine‑learning workflows.
• Document data pipelines, storage structures, and processing workflows.
• Stay current with emerging trends in data engineering, cloud platforms, and big‑data tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in a data engineering role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; Catalan is a plus.
