Data Engineering & Analytics Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineering & Analytics Associate to join our international Data and Analytics team in Barcelona. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and data scientists to design, build and maintain end‑to‑end data solutions that drive business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business problems into structured analytical approaches and data solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, datasets and scalable data‑processing workflows.
• Perform data‑quality checks, validation and performance optimisation.
• Support reporting, advanced analytics and machine‑learning use cases.
• Collaborate with data science, engineering, product and business teams.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics or a hybrid data role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
• Fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan.
• Strong problem‑solving, business understanding and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• SQL
• Python
• Scala (or similar scripting language)
• ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Databases, data warehouses and data modelling
• Azure, AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• Git and CI/CD (desirable)
• Basic statistics and machine‑learning concepts
