Data Engineering Manager

About the role

Metyis is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead its international Data & Analytics team in Barcelona. You will own the data and AI infrastructure roadmap, ensuring that data pipelines, platforms and services are scalable, reliable and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud‑native data platforms, pipelines, APIs and architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate use cases into technical solutions.
• Oversee end‑to‑end development of data and AI use cases, guaranteeing quality and scalability.
• Lead a team of engineers, coordinating with data scientists, reporting and product groups to deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Establish engineering standards covering architecture, testing, CI/CD, data quality, governance and monitoring.
• Communicate technical decisions, risks and progress to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, building production‑grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple delivery projects.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud architectures and AI/ML support.
